Report a problem

Send email to cechelp@mtu.edu
The preferred method of reporting problems or making requests is to email cechelp@mtu.edu. This will get the request into our request tracking system. Please do not send requests to individual staff members, as they may not be in and resolution of your request may be delayed until their return. You may specify who you are directing the request to within the message, but please, send the request to cechelp.
Call 7-2111
Sometimes sending email is not possible or an immediate response is required. Then it's time to call the CEC (7-2111). If your computer is does not have a login prompt, or the keyboard or mouse are not responding properly. If some program locked up your machine. Or if a licensed software product isn't working. These are just some of the problems where calling the CEC may provide a quicker response. The CEC has voice mail to catch calls during off hours, or if all our staff is busy. The voice mail system has a "CEC Emergency" option (2) which will page us if it's an emergency.
Visit the CEC, 201 Fisher Hall
Some problems can only be fixed by visiting us in the CEC (201 Fisher Hall). Most notable is getting your password changed if you forget it. In this case you will need to stop by the CEC with your Tech Express ID. Maybe you just want to stop by and congratulate us on doing such a good job. Use your own judgement, but remember, we are generally quite busy.
